Women’s Handicap Triples
This event was held on Wednesday 26th of April and it was the final women’s event for the Season. The morning sky was looking threatening however the day turned out being just perfect weather for Bowls. The format for the event was 2 games of 15 ends with 2 bowls per player. We had 30 players adding up to 10 teams.
Round 1 saw several close games as well as a draw and Team Leach having a convincing win. After lunch round two was played and once again there was a draw mixed in with some close games. At the end of an enjoyable day the winners were.
1st Wendy Saul, Kaye Martin and Jan Power-Tuke with 2 wins + 20 shots
2nd Pat Boardman, Shona Carter and Emily Dunne. 2 wins + 11 shots
3rd Lee Leach, Shirley Palmer and Liz McTaggert. 1 win, 1 draw + 19 shots
Am winners: Moira Dean, Glen Larcombe and Liz Marshall.
Pm winners: Jan Cook, Stan van Mosseveld and Jan Paniperis
Special thanks to Stan who agreed to play with the ladies to replace a player who was unable to make it on the day.
